  3. LASCO has observed a CME about every 1-2 days during the minimum phase. CMEs occur less frequently during the 
  4. minimum phase than they do at the maximum of solar activity. Under maximum activity 4-5 CMEs per day is 
  5. observed. The normal rate for LASCO C3 images is typically 30 minutes (This is due to better compression schemes).
